Job Title: Epic Resolute Billing Analyst (Hospital Billing / Epic Claims)

Summary:
We are seeking an Epic Resolute Billing Analyst to contribute to the design, implementation, and ongoing support of Epic clinical and enterprise applications that improve patient care, research, and operational performance. This mid-level role focuses on building, testing, and optimizing workflows within the revenue cycle—specifically hospital billing and professional claims workflows—while partnering closely with operational and technical stakeholders to deliver reliable, compliant, high-performing solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, configure, build, test, implement, and maintain Epic application components within the Resolute Hospital Billing environment, supporting moderately complex initiatives.
- Partner with revenue cycle and operational teams to analyze workflows, gather requirements, and translate business needs into Epic build and configuration.
- Perform quality assurance, unit testing, and integrated testing to ensure application reliability and alignment with organizational standards.
- Troubleshoot multifaceted issues that may span application configuration, workflows, interfaces, databases, and related technical components, coordinating with technical teams as needed to drive resolution.
- Monitor application and system performance and support ongoing stability, upgrades, and optimization efforts.
- Support and develop application-specific enhancements and reports that advance clinical and operational priorities.
- Create and maintain build specifications and system documentation to support change control, continuity, and knowledge transfer.
- Provide operational support for assigned applications and participate in go-live readiness and post-go-live stabilization activities.
- Share technical knowledge and support junior analysts through collaboration and informal mentorship.
Required Qualifications
- Active Epic Certification in Resolute Hospital Billing is required.
- Epic Data Courier badge is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on system build experience within an Epic environment is required, including successful implementations, with high-complexity work focused on the Resolute module.
- Demonstrated experience building and testing workflows within Epic Resolute focused on Epic Claims for professional billing and hospital billing is required.
- Strong understanding of Resolute workflows, regulatory requirements, and medical billing record standards is required.
- Advanced application support and build skills with strong problem-solving and critical thinking capability are required.
- Excellent documentation and presentation skills are required.
Education:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Healthcare, or a related field is strongly preferred.
- An Associate’s degree may be considered with two additional years of direct, relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Healthcare operations experience within revenue cycle functions such as billing, scheduling, access services, health information management, or patient financial services is preferred.
- Experience with workflow analysis and solution design in complex healthcare environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with healthcare information systems including application and data-layer concepts is preferred.
- Experience with systems provisioning and security concepts and Active Directory structures is preferred.
- Experience with integration platforms, middleware, and application interfaces is preferred.
- Experience working within project lifecycle and project management methodologies is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Visio is preferred.
- Professional-level certification from an accredited organization in relevant informatics, health information technology, or related clinical or business specialties is preferred.
