Title: Documentation Specialist
Location: Tampa, FL
Type: Contract
Position Summary
The Documentation Specialist supports the creation and maintenance of business process documentation, procedures, work instructions, and business requirements. This role works with business teams and subject matter experts to ensure information is clearly documented, organized, and easy to use.
Key Responsibilities
Documentation
- Create and update process documents, procedures, work instructions, and process maps.
- Document business workflows and operational processes.
- Maintain document libraries and ensure information stays current.
- Follow documentation standards and templates.
Requirements Support
- Assist in gathering and documenting business requirements.
- Organize and track requirements for projects and process improvements.
- Support review and approval activities.
Collaboration
- Work with business users, process owners, and project teams to capture information.
- Participate in meetings and workshops to understand current processes.
- Support training and communication efforts related to process documentation.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve documentation quality and consistency.
- Support process improvement initiatives across departments.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in documentation, business analysis, operations, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred
- Experience with Visio, Lucidchart, SharePoint, or similar tools.
- Exposure to supply chain, manufacturing, warehouse, or business operations environments.
- Experience creating process maps or procedural documentation.
